 Sinusoidal Waveforms
Objective:
  To illustrate sinusoidal waveforms and show the effect of adding a phase shift.
Steps:
One cycle of a periodic waveform is described as repeating every 2p radians or every 360°. Alternatively, we refer to the period T (seconds).
   
Waveforms can be described as either:
even (A(t) = A(-t)) or
odd (A(t) = -A(-t)).
   
A phase shift can be added to a sine or cosine wave. Note how a sine wave is a delayed cosine (or a cosine is an advanced sine).
   
Trigonometric functions are used frequently when describing signals. Observe how adding a sine and cosine wave gives an advanced/delayed cosine.
