Phasors
 Introduction
Objective:

To introduce the concept of phasors for solving steady-state AC circuits.

Steps:
Examine time-domain relationships between voltage and current for passive elements.
For the resistor, voltage and current are in phase.
In an inductor, the voltage leads the current,
but in a capacitor the current leads the voltage.
These results are summarised here.
The acronym CIVIL will help you remember this.
